“As-Built” Performance Testing

Often, once new systems are in place or system changes are made, the simulation model is forgotten until the “next time”. However, we believe, that the simulation tool is still very useful and beneficial. More often than not, systems are revised after the initial design and validation phase due to many reasons; product revisions, process revisions, throughput requirements changes, etc. A quick review of “as-built” floor conditions and incorporation of any identified changes into the model will determine if any of these changes will impact the system performance. Also an “as-built” model will give you a tool to quickly analyze unanticipated production changes that may have to occur due to market conditions and / or economic adjustments. Finally, an “as-built” model will give you the tool to immediately assess and proceed with the “next” project.
