HVAC Project Engineer Install Coordinator – 0440

Position Duties:

  • As an HVAC project engineer, your primary duties are planning and supervising HVAC technicians throughout the build and install.
  • Assist the construction project management team in all tenant improvement and construction implementations ensuring timely plant readiness on all transformation projects
  • Participate in engineering planning and design, including space and installation management.
  • Support plants for integration and maintenance of new technologies by providing facilities engineering expertise and contractor references
  • Create project timelines, financial analysis, and decision matrices for facility construction and/or re-structure
  • Supports facility capital improvement projects to create cost reductions, quality, safety, and workflow improvements to advance innovation in production technologies
  • Ensure support and follow through of key stakeholders and sustain momentum to enable full realization of initiative goals and objectives
  • Ability to manage a project from development and stakeholder engagement through implementation and evaluation
  • An HVAC project engineer is a heating, ventilation, and air conditioning professional who oversees HVAC installations in existing buildings.
  • Coordinate permits and inspections to ensure all project schedules are met.
  • Travel up to 80%
  • Must be willing to walk job sites under construction
  • Understand and abide by proper personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Business, and financial acumen with broad manufacturing expertise across a large multi-facility network
  • Must have strong problem solving and influencing skills with an execution and change management mindset
  • Project and management skills along with capabilities
  • Exhibit the skills to collaborate with and achieve actionable results through others, the ability to navigate and build strong sustainable relationships and the capability to collaborate across all departments within the organization
  • Project management; including budget creation, contractor quoting, project oversight/tracking, and close out procedures
  • Knowledge of National building codes including all Mech/Elec/Plumb/Fire codes
  • Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD and excel
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a multi-plant function, capital projects leadership role or similar field
  • Must possess excellent verbal & written communication skills
