Skills and Experience Requirements:
General
  • Minimum of five years of industrial engineering experience in the automotive sector
  • Minimum of five years of industrial engineering experience in a non-automotive sector
  • Minimum of two years of project management or supervisory experience
  • Must demonstrate excellent leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • Possess entrepreneurial qualities and a focus on growth in the industrial engineering market and corporate engineering service offerings.
  • High level of analytical and logical problem solving ability
  • Ability to work efficiently within a cross-functional manufacturing engineering environment complementing other aspects of manufacturing engineering (i.e. material flow, dock analysis, supply chain, simulation, facility engineering, program management, logistics teams, etc.)
  • Thorough understanding and knowledge in industrial material handling processes / systems
  • Extensive knowledge in LEAN manufacturing process and initiatives
  • Understanding of material handling and associated logistics
  • Basic understanding of conveyors, tooling, and equipment
Engineering
  • Experience with facility capacity impacts such as; re-scrolling, mid-cycle action, line speed changes, volume modifications, throughput initiatives and platform variant implementations
  • Ability to review and study current operational characteristics of a manufacturing process
  • Experience with time studies using; MODAPTS, MOST, MTM-UAS.
  • Ability to review and implement process changes into a facility’s operation
  • Able to revise manpower assignments to reflect process and/or element changes
  • Review/development/implement/ operator and station optimization
  • Ability to create and/or modify Standard Work Instructions and process scroll
  • Identify, plan, implement line balancing/rebalancing
  • Able to develop all aspects of a perfect workstation station (i.e. line side material, equipment, etc.)
  • Knowledge of golden-zone ergonomic initiatives and enablers
  • Identify and develop productivity plans
  • Experience with the identification of bottlenecks and throughput issues and propose/implement corrective actions
Computer Skills:
  • Microsoft Office
  • Microsoft Project
  • Pro Planner (not required but is a plus)
  • AutoCAD
  • Other: MS Access and AutoCAD experience is a plus
Minimum Education Required:
  • Bachelors (I.E. or M.E.)
