Current operations and facility layout were disjointed, inefficient, and customer service levels were not being met. DSI was tasked with figuring out the best path forward for our client to optimize the facilities’ operations while also increasing quality levels.

The Solution

The client required lean process improvements, material flow, Warehouse Management System (WMS), software configuration alignment, Best in Class warehouse layout, and material handling equipment.

These solutions resulted in the following:

  • $1.58 Million in labor savings
  • 35% reduction in warehouse footprint
  • 30% increase in pick productivity

52% reduction in overall facility footprint (435,000 ft2 to 210,000 ft2 while adhering to complex business requirements.)
