Experiencing steady growth, this steel processor has contracted Design Systems, Inc’s team of professional manufacturing engineers to evaluate options to plan for this significant growth. Seeking to get more output, the engineering team will evaluate the existing layout and review the current process flow to identify improvement opportunities for increased production. Design Systems, Inc. will be evaluating different equipment and automation opportunities, evaluating material flow throughout the facility to “lean out” the facility, review current and future state material storage needs, review material staging and shipping operations, review dock operations including locations and quantities all aimed at meeting existing production demands with an eye towards the future. Design Systems, Inc. is very skilled at preparing long-term phased in plans to ensure a smooth transition while manufacturers ramp up production to meet their growing volumes.
